In July 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic did not stop Fabian to get to meet “Marielito” (Ricky’s nickname as a boxer). The portrait for the actor was created back in 2018 and waiting in Fabian’s studio for the right moment.

At the beginning of 2020, after couple of conversations, the well-known Hollywood legend ordered a commission to Fabian of Asia Ramazan Antar, a soldier the actor admires (Asia was a Kurdish Women’s Protection Units fighter who has become a symbol of the feminist struggle and fight against ISIS getting killed during an attack).

Rourke also has a tattoo on his torso with her name.

Of course, this was the perfect opportunity to present the actor with his portrait. They got together at Mulberry Pizzeria in Beverly Hills. Rourke was amazed with his portrait and the painting of Asia.
